The best solution to electrical interference is eliminating
its source. Here are some easy steps you can try:
|
If this doesn't work, try tuning a portable AM radio to a low number station and follow the actual line of the circuit from the breaker to the outlet for each appliance while the appliance is operating. As the static on the radio increases you're nearing a potential source of interference. Loose connections or bad wiring behind a wall, panel or outlet could be the cause. Have a qualified electrician conduct an inspection of your wiring system to eliminate the interference conditions. If you can't identify the problem within your own home there is good chance the interference is coming from a neighbor or the utility. Call your local utility and tell them you're having interference problems and you believe it's originating outside your own home. They should be able to help. |
